Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Board Chill collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use the app, including online rooms, custom decks, chat, voice messages and premium subscriptions.

1. Overview

Board Chill respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data may be collected, why it is used, and the choices you have when using the app.

The app is a social game experience with optional sign-in, online rooms, custom decks, chat, voice messages, analytics, crash diagnostics, ads and premium subscriptions.


2. Information we may collect
  • Personal information: display name, email address, user ID, sign-in provider and profile photo URL when provided by Apple, Google or your account settings.
  • User-generated content: private custom deck names, descriptions and cards; room chat messages; short voice messages intentionally recorded and sent in a room.
  • App activity: gameplay interactions, selected language, room actions, premium state, feature usage, app opens and in-app actions.
  • Audio files: short voice recordings sent by users in online rooms or as an answer to a challenge.
  • Purchase information: product identifier, purchase status, subscription status, renewal/expiration information and entitlement state from Apple, Google and RevenueCat. We do not receive full payment card details.
  • Device, diagnostics and performance data: device model, operating system, app version, crash logs, diagnostics and performance information.
  • Device or advertising identifiers: advertising identifiers or similar IDs may be used if ads or ad measurement are enabled.

3. How we use information
  • Provide gameplay, online rooms, public/private room discovery, room codes, chat, voice messages and custom deck features.
  • Maintain accounts, language preferences, premium access, purchase restoration and account deletion requests.
  • Prevent abuse, spam, unsafe content, unauthorized access and policy violations.
  • Improve app quality, fix bugs, understand performance and diagnose crashes.
  • Show or measure ads if advertising features are enabled.
  • Respond to support, privacy and account requests.

4. Third-party services

Board Chill may use the following service providers, which process data under their own policies and terms:

  • Firebase Authentication for sign-in and account identity.
  • Firebase Firestore, Realtime Database and Storage for app data, online room state, chat, voice files and custom content where applicable.
  • Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for usage analytics, diagnostics and crash reporting.
  • Google AdMob for advertising and ad measurement if ads are enabled.
  • RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management and purchase status.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play for purchases, subscriptions and store account management.

5. Chat, voice and online room data

Chat messages and voice messages are meant for users inside the same online room. Voice messages may be stored temporarily to let room members play them during the session.

We try to clean up room-related data when rooms end, expire or become inactive, but temporary copies may remain for a limited time in backups, logs or provider systems.


6. User-generated content safety

Users are responsible for custom decks, chat and voice messages they create or send. Do not create or share illegal, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, non-consensual, child-safety violating, privacy-invasive or infringing content.

We may remove content or restrict access when necessary to protect users, comply with laws, or meet platform policies.


7. Data retention and deletion

We keep data only as long as reasonably needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, maintain security, or support purchases and account records.

You can initiate account deletion in the app from the account/profile area. If you cannot access the app, contact us at the email below. Deleting your account may remove account data and user-generated content associated with that account, except where retention is required for legal, safety, anti-fraud, subscription or backup reasons.


8. Children and age-sensitive content

Board Chill is not intended for children. Some content is mature or party-themed. Users should only access content appropriate for their age and region.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.


9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No system is perfectly secure, so users should avoid sharing sensitive personal information in rooms, chat, voice messages or custom decks.


10. International processing

Data may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the app, you understand that data may be processed outside your country of residence subject to applicable safeguards.


11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be available on this page with the effective date below.
